Day 1 (Lunch / Dinner)

After picking you up from your accommodation in Alice Springs bright and early, we hit the road for five fantastic days of adventure and fun. (For those commencing at Uluru, we will collect you from the Outback Pioneer Hotel at 1.10pm or the airport at 1.30pm.)

On our way to Uluru - Kata Tjuta National Park with a few stops along the way for refreshments, a camel ride (own expense) or a chance to purchase some Aboriginal paintings or artifacts. The afternoon is devoted to enjoying the sites of Uluru, including a visit to the Cultural Centre where you can learn about the Tjukurpa (Aboriginal law/religion), a full base walk or a chance to climb (weather permitting) should you choose. (Note: Uluru is a sacred site and Anangu, the indigenous custodians, respectfully ask visitors not to climb it.

It's then time to view the magnificent sunset on Uluru accompanied with a glass or two of sparkling wine before returning to the campsite for a delicious meal, a couple of drinks and time to sit back to contemplate the day's events.

Day 2 (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)

After watching the sunrise over Uluru and Kata Tjuta from a lookout close to our campsite, it's breakfast and then off to Kata Tjuta for a 7km hike through the magnificent "Valley of the Winds". After a leisurely lunch we head to Curtin Springs Cattle Station with plenty of time to get a close look at a typical working cattle station before we travel to Kings Creek Station for our second nights bush camp. Our private campsite at Kings Creek is miles from the crowds, which is where the feeling of ‘wayoutback’ really starts to take hold. After a campfire dinner it's time to kick back and be mesmerised by the millions of stars on display.

Day 3 (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)

This morning take a guided walk to see the towering walls, crevices and plateaus of Watarrka (Kings Canyon). Visit the Amphitheatre and the Lost City plus swim in the tranquil ‘Garden of Eden’ if you’re keen. After Watarrka we 4WD along the famous Mereenie Loop Road where you will be shaken and not stirred! Look out for wildlife along the way before arriving at our permanent camp at Glen Helen, nearby the stunning waterhole that the Traditional owners of this land believe is home to an ancient and powerful Rainbow Serpent.

Day 4 (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)

Spend today exploring the mighty West MacDonnell Ranges. Travel off road to Ormiston Gorge, keep your eyes peeled for Perentie Lizards lazing along the banks and take a swim in the rock holes. Hike the “Ghost Gum Walk” before four wheel driving through the Owen Springs Reserve following the footsteps of the first European explorers. Tonight we rest at Owen Springs, spending a night 'Wayoutback' under the southern stars, complete with campfire, a hearty meal and imagining what it was like for our first explorers discovering this raw and remote part of the Outback.

Day 5 (Breakfast / Lunch)

After a hearty breakfast we cross the famous Hugh River Stock with our destination the inspirational Oak Valley Aboriginal Community. Spend time with the Traditional owners exploring the land, try your hand at Boomerang throwing, see ancient rock art paintings and carvings and gain a personal experience of the profound understanding the owners have of this pristine remote environment.

Travelling back to Alice Springs via the Old South Road, stop in at the Erwinga Art site before returning to your accommodation approximately 5.30pm. After returning to civilisation, a hot shower awaits before joining your fellow travellers for a farewell meal, laugh and few cold ales.
